Here’s the deal: what will follow for the foreseeable future is a weekly series of one-shot gag pages without being tied to any over-arcing story. My goal is to eventually use this series of one-shots (or VERY short stories) to propel the MESS timeline from 2007 into the present, thus pulling us out of flashbackville. It should be pretty fun for a while.
In any event, if you missed it, Sporkman updated on Saturday, and tomorrow will introduce a bold new era in Lit Brick. So check those out, if you’re so inclined.

SO PLEASED this gorgeous style is back. Yaaaaaay for peer pressure! Also pleased that they have finally had sex, even if it was a threesome with Totoro.
In the first line there’s a wall and ceiling in the background but it looks like it’s on/in the sheets. So the question is: Did it move on its own or did they knock it off its shelf with their antics?
Eh… work on the marring of the styles together a bit more.
You MIGHT have something here… work on it a bit more though. Switch back and forth from doing better Lit Brick to doing better Sporkman then do what is inbetween.
Yes it is possible to do better Sporkman… not because it is bad… but because I am a fierce believer in spiral energy and lensman arms races.
Then in between will be the greatest perfection of two perfect worlds marred into one super perfect world.

But seriously, this doesn’t even seem like a MESS strip. It almost seems like a guest parody strip copying your chibi art style.

I’m disappointed that this is going to start with 1 shots now, considering how much that changed Sporkman’s way of being made.
You know I like your comic and have since day 1 (check your email) but truthfully, I hate this art style. At least compared to the MES style.
So…are we ever leaving chibi country? Or is this for the next year or so? Because I think this comic is wonderful and clever and I love that it includes so many body and sexuality diverse people, but this art style is so jarring
