    Don’t know if this was on purpose, but I think it’s awesome that the background goes away once they step outside.

    I know it’s happened inside before, but I just like the idea that it disappears whenever the characters are completely focused on each other. At least, that’s my interpretation of it :)

      I’ve just become increasingly fond of “open panels,” as we call them, and have started plugging them into more and more strips where it looks appropriate.

      I don’t think there’s much semiotic difference between smoking a cigar and giving the finger to everyone who happens to be in range.
