Nor have we seen any indication as to why M.E. would shoot him. Motive also is ambiguous.
And yet, the sheriff is bringing her in. What does he know, that we don’t?
Honestly, he has exactly one person who he knows was in the area. It’s a good idea to bring her in, just to see if she noticed anything she didn’t pick up on immediately. Westbound is very obviously out of his depth here, but he’s trying. Best of luck to him.

Because holding her for no reason without any evidence to interrogate her with is going to be SO EFFECTIVE.
