#2.083: Windbreakers

My apologies, folks, but I didn’t manage to get comics done ahead of time to cover my trip to Seattle.  This includes Sporkman, Lit Brick, and even Troutcave Redux.  Comics will resume normally a week from now, on Wednesday, March 6th (I get back late Monday, thus I can’t really work again until Tuesday).

I hope you’ll come back after the break, and if you’re in Seattle, come see me at table Q-19!  I’ll draw you a picture!

Now, I’ve done it! In the past few days, I’ve read every MESS ever drawn, and now I’m completely caught up (with the strip, the story, the characters, etc.). This is the first web comic I’ve gotten hooked on. I started with LitBrick, but I found the lack of noses disturbing, probably because I’m Italian-American and anyone You could call “No-nose” is someone You don’t want to know.

Wow, thanks! It’s always a thrill to be someone’s first.

Talk about anthropomorphizing, I thought she was holding a gimp mask in her hand…

You know… I’m thinking about why their relationship ultimately never worked out…

I’ll have to archive binge… AND THEN TERRIBLE FAN FICTION THAT WILL HAVE JOHN PRETENDING HE HAS NO IDEA WHO I AM…

Or maybe he’ll enjoy it, give me comments on how to improve and helpful suggestions…

Naw… he is not a totally monster. He won’t do the latter there.

When I hear “Windbreakers” I just think of those things you put up at the beach to keep the wind out. (“What, a cork?”)

When I hear “windbreakers” I think of the PDQ Bach instrument that looks like a huge Pan-flute made of mailing tubes that, when played, sounds like someone passing gas.

“I don’t know why this instrument is called a ‘windbreaker’ – it doesn’t resemble a jacket in any way I can see…”

Is it intended that I first thought these were handcuffs?
